Dida Holdings, the global AI-first travel technology and distribution company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VORTEX Co.Ltd (株式会社 VORTEX), a Japanese business development and investment company.
Under the MoU, the two companies will form a strategic business collaboration in Japan, working together on cross-industry opportunities, with a focus on transportation, tourism and related sectors.Dida will work with VORTEX's local corporate resources and business network to identify potential partners and develop those relationships into concrete commercial opportunities, such as connecting inbound travellers with Japanese retail and service businesses and potentially developing new travel products for the Japanese market.
The overall aim is to further broaden Dida's local connections in Japan and complement its core travel distribution business.Within the scope set out in the MoU, covering new business development, M&A and other strategic cooperation in Japan, Dida and VORTEX will work together on an exclusive basis. This collaboration is part of Dida's broader work to build its business network in Japan and does not affect Dida's existing business there. Dida's current Japan operations, partnerships and commercial arrangements remain unchanged, and its existing hotel partners, suppliers and customers will continue to work directly with Dida's Japan team as they have up until now.
As work on specific projects moves forward the two companies may explore deeper collaboration over time.
"Japan is one of the most important destination markets for our global customers, and we are committed to building strong, long-term relationships on the ground," said Daryl Lee, Group CEO of Dida Holdings.
"VORTEX brings deep local roots and a wide network across Japanese industry. Working with them on specific opportunities, particularly across industries, helps us expand our reach in Japan and complements the strong relationships we already have with our partners there."
